OBJECTIVES
The expected educational outcomes are better understanding of the monitoring of motor evoked potentials (MEPs) in surgeries of the spine with increased knowledge about how MEPs should be interpreted, when action should be taken, what are the expected outcome. This will hopefully increase peoples knowledge in order to provide better and more accurate monitoring with increased benefits for the patients.

The International Society of Intraoperative Neurophysiology (ISIN) is arranging webinar on “MEP-alerts in complex spine surgeries”.

We will have a presentation on the topic of  “MEP-alert during complex pediatric spine deformities surgery”,  with focus on: Surgical precipitant; Precise communication between IOM and the surgical team:  the key information; Intervention response; Short- and long-term functional outcome. Followed by Q&A.

There will also be a presentation on “MEP-alert during elderly complex spine surgery”, with focus on: Pathologies with higher intraoperative MEP-alerts: pre-operative influencing factors; Surgical precipitant; Rescue rate and functional outcome. Followed by Q&A.

There will also be a presentation about the spine registry “spine-tango”.
